The HA Prevention department began in 1994, following an initiative by two enthusiastic doctors at the institution: Dr. Paulo Prata and Dr. Edmundo Mauad. In the beginning, only simple preventive exams were carried out to diagnose cervical cancer, but the importance of this sector, in more than 20 years of history, allowed the institution to acquire dozens of fixed and mobile units to carry out the most diverse types of cancer. of preventive examinations.
